Strange dreams plague the mind of solitary teenager Adam Zefir – dreams of memories he has never experienced, of battles he has never fought. When Tonie Gradios, Adam’s friend and teacher, is abducted by the Borealan empire for reasons unknown, he decides to conspire with a number of strange and shady individuals to rescue him. To do this, however, he must also leave the isolation of his home world of Enicar and open himself up to the dangers of the universe. Adam encounters psychics and androids, pilots and weapons experts, people seeking adventure and people simply looking to survive, as they combine their talents and cross the universe together.

Eventually, Adam’s search leads him to an uprising against the Borealan government, as two rebellious factions seek him out for their own ends. A mercenary hired by the empire – a figure from his past – hunts him down. As Adam desperately tries to take control of his own destiny, the lines between dreams and reality begin to blur, and Adam Zefir learns once and for all who he is and what he has to do.

Meanwhile, the Borealan Emperor, Indigo Aetros, seeks out the Messiahs, individuals with power over the elements. They are the disciples of Viggoth, the god-like being that dwells in the space between dimensions. With their power, they hold the key to turning the tides of the war in the empire’s favor or against it. And it is said that when they all gather in one location, Viggoth himself will appear and guide the Messiahs to determine the future of humanity. As Aetros continues to pull the strings, the paths of Adam Zefir and the Messiahs begin to converge…
