I consider this a very good graphic novel because it tells the story of Wolverine as a very ill kid from Canada. This novel explains a lot about his struggles a he grew and the many different situations and difficulties he went through. One thing it doesn’t talk about is powers and how they originated, but never the less that’s what causes most of the problems that occur in this novel. Most Wolverine fans, in my opinion, would really enjoy the story line and after reading it and comparing to the latest movie that was made after this novel would agree with me that the movie sucked if it was going according to the novel.

Reading the book after seeing the movie is a unique concept to me. I don't think I've ever read the book after seeing the movie in my life. I prefer text to screen more often than not. I like to create my own visions and mental movie before seeing someone else's translation. So the be given Origin of Wolverine after seeing the film with a very hot, very ripped Hugh Jackman (who normally I've never had any attachment to), I got to create a comparison which I'm still debating. What'd I like from the movie other than Hugh Jackman's delicious body? Mostly the action. A lot of the story in the movie isn't in Origin. The book doesn't provide too much additional storyline... interesting, but nothing tremendous. I liked the art a lot though. Very much indeed.

I couldn't put this one down. I think Hollywood's soften the character a lot through its Marvel movies. I really enjoyed "getting to know" Wolverine as he was intended to be portrayed. I found his backstory fascinating and intriguing.

The entire series read as a graphic novel, as it should be. A must-have, even if you're not into comics, just good writing.

When I first picked up Origin #1 I was very nervous and excited. The worst possible thing in the world that someone could do was mess up Wolverine's past, but at the end of issue one, all of those fantasies where gone. Paul Jenkins weaves this dark and grim story all the way through, not missing a thing. Betrayal, anger, hope, and jealously all play a key roll in Origin. All the way till the end, there is no true happiness in Logan and it ends in a dismal and almost tear rendering way. A must have for the Marvel fanatic or anyone interested in Wolverine, no matter what the price!

loved too but too short, wonder if the movie will stay true to the story. After watching the movie, am glad it didnt butcher the story nad the did try not to soften wolverine too much.

Beautiful art, gripping story. I enjoyed this one very much. We get to see the very beginings of Logan as Wolverine.

Tells the origin of fan favorite X-man, Wolverine. A pretty good read, albeit too short.
