• Fall is Ide Noapte's favorite time of year. (By the way- it's pronounced EE-DUH.)EE-duh.) Halloween is her birthday, and this year she turns thirteen. She's a normal girl, really smart and very fast, with many friends and a cute crush named Austin.
  She's just casually going about her life when she overhears a conversation between her parents. And when a hint is dropped (and who would have thought that they planned it?) about their past, everything that Ide thought she knew is changed.
  And suddenly, it's just Ide and her brother with this terrible and unbelievable secret- but Austin and Ide's friends always seem ready to help- as Ide finds unexpected facts relating to the people to whom she is closest… She realizes she must quickly find out the truth and whom she can trust, because what can you do when you're a vampire, and you have that terrible thirst inside?
