“TOO DANGEROUS TO DESIRE by Cara Elliott is an exciting Regency historical romance. Book 3 in the "Lords of Midnight" trilogy, but can be read as a stand alone. See, "Too Tempting to Resist",and "Too Wicked to Wed". Follow, Cameron Daggert and Sophie Lawrence on a adventure of desire, truth, seduction, passion, danger and love. Fast paced with a sassy,"good girl" heroine and a charming "bad boy" hero. With an engaging plot, delightful, charming characters,a bit of mystery, intrigue, and of course a long buried love you can't go wrong with "Too Dangerous To Desire". Another hit for this author. What a wonderful storyteller and a wonderful way to end a trilogy. A must read for anyone who enjoys a great fast paced, action, adventure, historical romance and the Hellhounds of England. Received for an honest review from the publisher and Net Galley.

Sophie Lawrence and Cameron Daggett were fire together before Sophie decided on a life without Cameron. Losing Sophie was hard on Cameron has made a life for himself through his thieving ways. However, years later he plans on stealing back the one thing that he covets most: Sophie's heart.
TOO DANGEROUS TO DESIRE is the third book in the Lords of Midnight series. I found that Cara Elliott writes very well and I had no problems plowing through this book. The flow is great, the words seem to flow so effortlessly and there are some good humorous moments that made me smile.
In terms of the characters and romance, I felt that Cameron was a bit of a lothario - saying all the things things at the right moments. In a way, it affected the believability of the book because there is no way that any hero is that smooth. But I think it worked for Sophie because she was just as dramatic with her own actions.

“Last in series: Cameron is as bad or worse than the other Hellhounds. A thief who has been many things since running from the noose years ago. A bastard son, his half-brother the Marquess alwas was looking to get rid o fhim. Sophie was his friend while growing up, but he didn't leave her a note or anything when he left. Meeting now 10 years later, Cameron is a harden man and Sophie a woman who life has passed by. Thrown together, both recognize that the young love is turning into a mature love but in order to have their HEA, they must first fight off blackmailers, murderers, and a huge storm.”NjoiReading wrote this review Tuesday, January 1, 2013.
