We spent Christmas with all the delightful characters of Mitford. Father Tim so reminds me of our own dear pastor from long ago... Lowell Schlanbusch. While we made our own preparations to have Jerry, Maria, Daniel, Sammy, and Andrew for Christmas dinner we enjoyed the company of Father Tim and friends through this audio book. I particularly enjoyed some of the hymns that were familiar from my youth growing up in the Episcopal church. Good Narrator!!

I enjoyed finally reading the last of the Mitford years. I read all the others years ago, then got side tracked. So I just read this one and jumped right back to life with Father Tim and Cynthia. I would have like more about Kenny. He was introduced and safe, but how did he get there, how long is he going to stay. We could continue on with Dooley and lace and his vet practice...Nice read!

It was hard for the series to end. I've read comments on how we hope Jan Karon continues the Mitford stories on the other characters to keep her books coming for us!

I started this series many years ago, and finally have come to the end. I still have another one or two of the Mitford books that I am still reading, but it has been a joyous time.

I love hearing John McDonough reading the story. To me, he is the Rector.
