This is the true story of a Texas Reverand who died in a horrible car accident, visited Heaven for 90 minutes, and was returned to life. Pastor Don Piper was driving home one morning when a inmate driven truck crashed into him head on and changed his life forever. He was pronounced dead at the scene, but when another pastor driving by the accident heard from God to pray for this victim, he was was brought back to life. The story from there goes into detailed descriptions of his long, painful physical recovery, including an experimental device called the fixator used to lengthen the bone in his leg so it would not have to be amputated. Pastor Don suffered non stop excruciating pain that no drug could touch. He falls into a deep depression after weeks pass by and he has several more brushes with death. All the while, he thinks of his unbelievable experience of Heaven, yet not sharing it with anyone. One day an old pastor friend visiting puts Don in his place and calls for him to stop turning away the offerings of help from the multitudes of family and friends that come to visit him. Don decides that his friend is right, and that the only thing that people can do is offer their help, and he slowly begins to feel better. He feels relieved of the depression because he feels that God has asked him to humble himself through this catastrophe and accept help from others. He then begins healing, and ministers to others who have the same painful device on their legs. Because of the suffering he had went through, he can now help others in a way he never could before. He also at some point began to share his story of his visit to Heaven with others, and this also comforts and heals many many people who hear.

It encourages those recovering from serious injuries and those dealing with the loss of a loved one. The experience dramatically changed Don Piper's (an ordained minister) life. Recommend reading it!”
