I'm almost finished, Cec, and this book moved and encouraged me.
He spoke at my Church during Revival. What a great speaker!! Thought his book was wonderful, as well. I have bought this for many friends since who have had a loved one pass away and each have said it was comforting. I will continue to recommend it.
What do you believe is awaiting you in Heaven?
loved ones, God and whatever I want to be there. Today I want the beach...
almost done reading . its different from the other books i have read before.interesting story of faith and struggle.
A true story of a man that survives a killer car crash and through faith learns that sharing his story might be the reason why he survived.
a very touching story
hi Pam, how do you mean it is a touching story. tell me a little about the book because i have choosen it one of the books i planned to read.
thanks, Philip E.
nice book .....
The book was not as exciting as I thought it would be. The purpose for his return to earth was not as detailed to show his impact on peoples lives. The message was lost in his description of how he felt about returning to earth.
For me the purpose for his return to earth was clear, to show the power of prayer, and to encourage many others who have lost loved ones and who are injured. Very good book, hard to put down!
i truly agree with you
am using this book as healing method for my HIV+ kids in groups
I couldn't get into this book. I'm not really that religious and that could be why. Hey, I tried though. Gotta give me props for reading outside my usual stuff.
melissa d, I enjoyed the first part of this book. Reading about his accident, and then his time spent in heaven, and then his miraculous return to his body. After that, the rest pretty much focused on his injuries and rehab. I would like to have read more about his experiences in heaven. A book that you may enjoy more is "There Is No Death" by Sarah Menet. She goes extensively into her NDE. You don't have to be religious to read about someone's death experience. It's interesting to read from those that have crossed over and have returned to tell us about it. Take from it what you will.
I hate to say this, but if you are not a Christian and dont believe in God, you are DOOMED!!!!!!!!!!!! Im sorry, but it is true. If you want to go to Heaven, you need to get into the word. You see, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was born of a virgin in a manger. God's son was born in a manger!! A smelly barn, in an animal troff. Then, he led a PERFECT life, he never did anything wrong or bad. He later though, when we was about 33 or 36 years old, was crucifed on the cross. The pharasies HATED him and called him a liar, and a bunch of other mean names. Even though he did nothing wrong at all. Anyway, after he died on the cross, he rose again 3 days later. Then, 40 days later, he assended into Heaven.I dont want to overwelm you, but there is more. If you want to know, just leave me a measage. Anyway, accepting Christ as your Savior is simple. You must believe though that Christ is real. You must believe that he died, rose again, and he is coming back. If you want to accept Christ as your Lord, you can talk to me anytime. You can just leave a coment or somehting. I hope that you have a glorious day. God bless your life forever.
How this book seems to be for an interesting reader?
if you believe in FAITH
than go for this reading
Don certainly didn't spend as much time talking about heaven as I was expecting, and did spend a LOT of time talking about his physical condition. However I think that he did have several good points.
1. Heaven is real and it is a Christian's responsibility to tell others about Jesus' salvation.
2. Focusing on others is beneficial not only to them but to us.
3. God can use even the worst situations for good for those who love Him.
hey its Marzly. Is this book good?
i would like 90minutes in heaven to say all the things and bring my dad up-to-date as too whats happening here on mortal earth,
I just started to read this book, but so far it is very good! It is about a man who is in a vital car crash and is pronounced dead, but 90 minutes later comes back to life having viewed heaven. It is very good so far and can't wait to read more!
this book was absolutelly outstanding, great vocabulary, and it made you express feelings like no other book!
yeah, it really was!! but it doesnt seem like he could die and come back. What do you think about that?
Do you beleive that he really went to heaven and then became alive again?
I think that it can be parcially true but im not sure if he really went to heaven. What he said sounds like what i have always pictured heaven to be like but im not sure he really went to heaven.
Of course he did he would not lie
Pretty good book..but Im always sceptical.
makes you think
I had the opportunity to hear Don Piper speak at my church in El Centro, CA. last week. Ultimately, he's just telling his story, and whether or not you are a believer in Christ and God, makes no difference because God uses everyone for his purposes. For Don, it has been his miraculous story of a car accident and experiencing heaven. He believes in prayer and miracles.
I found this book to be poorly written and repetitive.I believe the title, color and cover design sold the book. Most of the book is about Don Piper's recovery and very little about his statement of visiting heaven, but that's another story.
I loved the book, but I wanted to hear about heaven more. I know it's hard to remember because he was in a car crash. Anyways, I enjoyed reading this book.
I am only 13 and this book made me think to my self.....Huh. I can't wait till i get to go to heaven someday. I loved this book so much. :) (i am not emo)
