This is a great book for de-mystifying the "Christian vocab." As an adult convert, Norris didn't really "get" what all the words like "antiChrist," etc. were. But she doesn't just define them, she writes pithy essays about them. This book was one that I read at a very difficult time of my life and it sustained me. Kathleen Norris rocks!!

I read this book at least once a year.. and give it to friends looking, because it is honest, and yet so caring. I am constantly looking for something new from Ms. Norris - grateful for her words, and wisdom. I will never read the Psalms, without thinking of her need to pray them / sing them - as a connection to scripture. She is so right - what a great way to connect.
