“We continue Vlad and Leila's story. Starts off with her kidnapped - again and then goes back four weeks in time to tell us how she got there. Some twists with Maximus, thinking Marty is dead and something wonky going on with Leila's powers.

“I love this series as much as the Night Huntress series! I know that when I pick up one of Frost's books, I'm going to be thoroughly engrossed, entertained, and rivoted by the well-developed characters and, yes, romance. I actually liked Twice Tempted better than the first in the series, and can't wait for the next!”

“I was warned about the cliffhanger, but that doesn't make me feel much better. Great book but could have stood to have more of a cameo of some of the other beloved characters in the series.”

“This is the sequel to once burned, a novel about Vlad and Liela. In this book Leila realizes that Vlad cannot love her. He refuses to say the words- ever. So she leaves him and goes back to the carnival to find Marty- her old partner. Only to find that Marty had replaced her with a girl that looked like a younger version of her.

After a mysterious gas leak and Explosion at the Carnival, Maximus saves Leila and tries to help her figure out who is trying to kill her- perhaps Vlad is behind it.... Leila's powers return and she " dreams" of Vlad. She is kidnapped and Maximus is loaded with silver bullets in the process. She has no choice but to contact Vlad. But can she trust him? And if so how far can she trust him? Especially when a former lover may be out to kill her. And Vlads closest friends betray him......”
