The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment

by Eckhart Tolle

Ekhart Tolle's message is simple: living in the now is the truest path to happiness and enlightenment. Only read this book if you want to change yourself for the better! It can do just that! Read with an open mind, and read with a greater good in mind! It can be transforming and bring incredible peace, tranquility, joy, understanding, acceptance, and a perspective that gives you an ability to handle most any situation in life. Truly packed with life changing ideals, that are in no way confliciting with traditional religious beliefs!

This is a very deep book. Not your "Summer Reading". I have to take it in small doses, although I find the content brilliant. Tolle's ideas are not anything new to me, yet the way in which he conveys them is the key here.

I liked it. Yes, a little too philosophical, but has many great points. I catch myself falling into some of the traps Tolle warns about, and now I am able to break myself of these habits more effectively.

Great message...however it's been difficult for me to finish...a feeling of being in a self-help lecture.

A very good book, it redifines our perception about life. Makes us see how we live either thinking about the past or looking for the future but never living the now. It is through living the now that we will be able to discover who we really are.

I actually listened to this on tape and enjoyed hearing the author read his own words. While I didn't agree with everything, I felt like he gave me a lot of things to think about. Overall I think it was worthwhile.
