well-behaved women seldom make history.

pretty much sums up the book. these women cut wide paths through all sorts of socio-economic backgrounds and overcame obstacles large and small to become who they are. easy read--wish their were more pics! that really brought the premise that you needn't be beautiful, only cunning, charming and willing to best your circumstances to be considered as subjects for this book.
