This was a good book to read, but very slow, and was a bit boring, but it had a good ending to it. It was still good, but not great. I would like to read the other books by this author to see if my opinion will change.

The first Donovan family book I had read and I really like the characters as well as the family dynamics. This book is about Faith Donovan, a jewlery designer who is caught up in the stolen jewel trade, unbeknownst to her. Coming to her rescue is her brother Archer's associate, and about to become Faith's bodyguard, Owen Walker. Let's just say there are some steamy nights in Ruby Bayou and Elizabeth Lowell also gives us a good story.

Last in the Donovan series, Lowell proves herself to be a somewhat cookie-cutter writer. The basic plot to her books is the same, but the characters vary as do the locations. More suspense and easy reading.
