Great and challenging from a super long time ago. Amazing how it's still applicable...

This is a TRUE classic. After i noticed several godly leaders and authors note this particular book on their list of recommended reading list, i took them up on it! In my search for an authentic classic copy, God blessed me with a copy from a person i simply had a few conversations with - i was SO EXCITED! I enjoy reading excerpts from this book as i settle down for the night...it gives me rich things to meditate on and pray over.

A fine example of devotional literature, which remains convicting to this day.

This book pre-figures the Reformation and, like Augustine's "Confessions," it has influenced many believers to walk in a manner more worthy of our calling.

If you want to challenge yourself to get closer to God then this book is for you! Though a Catholic book, Thomas a Kempis (a monk) have shown through his writings the uncontaminated vision of Christianity illuminated only by the Scriptures. The book can be read as a devotional, comparable to the likes of Oswald Chambers' My Utmost for His Highest. It was also read by heroes of history including Jose Rizal. This book has made it to the classics and remains relevant even up to this day! I highly recommend the book. Read it in a solitary place... it helps!
