“A review copy was provided for an honest review. Dead Silence is another creepy yet totally engrossing novel in the Body Finder series. This book felt a little different from the rest because it finally explores Violet's roots and answers some questions you more than likely wouldn't even think...”see full review » see other reviews »

“This book was way too similar to Laurie Faria Stolarz "Touch" series for me to even take serious. The narration is the same; back and forth between the main character and killer. Both girls have an unusual 'gift' that they use to help people. Both girls read journal entries by female family members who possessed and suffered with the same gift that they do. Both stories have the sameish love triangle. &&& both girls are idiots. They rush off to 'save' people without calling the cops first with is just illogical! and dumb!”Aimee P wrote this review Friday, September 27, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Violet thought she’d made peace with her unique ability to sense the echoes of the dead and the imprints that cling to their killers…that is until she acquired an imprint of her own. Forced to carry a reminder of the horrible events of her kidnapping, Violet is more determined than ever to lead a normal life. However, the people who run the special investigative team Violet works for have no intention of letting her go.
When someone close to Violet becomes a suspect in a horrific murder, she finds herself pulled into a deadly hunt for a madman with an army of devoted followers. Violet has survived dangerous situations before, but she quickly discovers that protecting those closest to her is far more difficult than protecting herself.
“I loved this book. I really hope that there is another one because there is nooooooooooo way it could end like that.”Aeryalle W wrote this review Wednesday, August 21, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No

“Wow. Wow. I don't know if it's the fact that it has been a very long time since I have read this series, or the fact that I have immensely missed reading about Violet, Jay, Her ability and even Rafe - all that little group. But this book.. Was one of the best in the series I have read! I was scared at first that it would be like the third which I didn't enjoy as much as the others. But this one was as good, if not better, than The Body Finder! (In my opinion anyway.) But as I said before, I could just be thinking that because it has been so long.
In my review about The Last Echo I think I mention how it was missing things and a lot revolved around her new friends working at the Centre and didn't show as much of her school friends or Jay.... Well, Dead Silence was everything the third book was missing and that's a reason why I love it.
Oh my .. Chapter 12.. There was something about it, something that is unexplainable for me. It was in the top 5 happiest moment I felt whilst reading a book, this chapter was perfect and it made even me feel beautiful and warm in my chest because I was so happy. Again this is my opinion and I tend to get a bit over the top while i'm in that mood after just finishing a novel.
As usual I have to mention the love interest. Jay... Oh Jay, Jay, Jay.... I wonder if its possible to fall in love with a book character? He was as good as ever and I just want him to be real as I do with MANY other love interests of books.
I had tears streaming from my face in those first few pages when it revealed that Chelsea had died... And then even more when it was actually happening in the book! Usually I think at least one character (no main ones) have to die at the end of a book because it gives it a meaningful feeling, but not Chelsea, I was shouting NO, she just couldn't die, not her. Boy am I glad she didn't. I had a massive wave of relief in those words 'She's stable'. I'm also really happy that Violet told Chels about her gift, took her long enough though.
I can't help but think that Dr. Lee/Jimmy is a bad guy. After all his warnings and threats blah, he just seems bad and i'm waiting for him to just try and kidnap Violet in one of their sessions.
I'm not sure I want it to finish, the series. Now would maybe be the perfect ending when everyone's alive and happy.... But I don''t want it to end. I would be fine with another one even if it has the same serial killer scenario going on as it did in one of the others. This being the longest series i've read so far it's really growing on me, and i'm not ready to let that go just yet. So please.. Another!”
“Disappointing. Continual repetition of situations. Main character refuses to be honest with others, then all of a sudden she tells anyone and everyone about her secrets. ”Tom R wrote this review Sunday, July 7, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“Another great book in the body finder series! I really love this series! Dead Silence has a creepy unsolved murder like the others, but the book gives less attention to the killer. Violet, Jay, Rafe and Chelsea play center stage in this one. Another major part to the story revolves around Violet's grandmother who had the same "gift". Violet is given her grandmother's journals and uncovers more information about their gift and about what life was like for her. We still have unanswered questions about the Center and their purpose. I love Jay and Violet together! I'd still like to know more about Rafe. Hopefully there will be more to come in this series!”lindajoy wrote this review Monday, July 1, 2013.
