“This is one of my favorite Miss Julia books. The humor in this book beats all! If you were sitting and listening to Miss Julia tell this story in person, when you started to laugh she would probably be offended. This prim and proper southern lady is so serious. Her seriousness is what makes her so funny. Such as when she has to wear pants. She has never worn pants a day in her life. When she tells -so seriously- how awful pants are, it is so funny you just about die from lack of oxygen where you laugh so hard!”

I wrote a review on this before, but somehow it didn't take and came out as "UNDEFINED" with no other title and no author. Read this! ”

But ironically all those coincidences become believable as Miss Julia acknowledges how unbelievable the chain of events was. Fun adventure and a whole different side of Miss Julia as she sobers up a boozy private detective friend of JD Pickens and as she dons green cropped pants and platform sandals.”

The title says it all. Thieves break into Miss Julia’s house, stealing Hazel Marie’s jewelry along with Miss Julia’s wedding & engagement rings. The police feel this is part of a burglary ring striking the southeast. When Miss Julia learns the thieves are based in Palm Beach, she along with Lloyd and Etta Mae are in hot pursuit.

“3 STARS. Miss Julia is a crack-up. Funny old, prim and proper lady with an attitude. No one is going to take advantage of her, that's for sure. Fun book to read but easy to put down. It was a nice in-between book. One to read in-between really really good books. Kind of reminds me of Hamish Mc(something) mystery books.”

She is feisty, smart and funny (without realizing she's being so), and assertive. This one takes her to Florida to retreive her precious engagement and wedding rings from the ring of burglars who are roaming the South. The adventure is priceless and pure Miss Julia.”
