I have read almost every Judith McNaught's novel. I love everyone of them. But this one is such a great story. I like the fact that Alexandra is not the typical beauty that are in most novels. She's an average looking girl. Jordan is sensual but arrogant but sexy. I had a hard time putting this book down.
Something Wonderful is wonderful; such a pleasure to read

If I could rate this book a 10+, I would.
A lot of people has already written a summary of the storyline so I will skip that and just tell you to grab a copy of this book! I'm an avid fan of historical romance and have read hundreds of books but this one is by far the best I've ever read. This is definitely a keeper - one I would be reading over and over again until I wear out the pages (then I will just go out and buy another copy).
The characters were well rounded and very believable with none of the usual "jump to conclusion" headstrong attitudes that borders on the ridiculous to generate an interesting plot line.

The suspense/mystery element of this book did not overshadow the romance but there was still enough of it to create some tension and a lot of surprises for the reader. I never guessed the identity of the culprit until the moment of revealation.
This book had me sighing, laughing, crying and smirking right throughout. There were as many laugh-out-loud moments as there were gut-wrenching tearful ones. There were moments of such tenderness it had me sighing, moments of sizzling sexual tension that had my pulses racing wildly, witty repartees that had me smirking and incredibly funny moments that had me giggling like an idiot. I loved this book from the first opening lines right to the last word penned.
This book is definitely SOMETHING WONDERFUL!!!

This was my first book that I read of Judith McNaught's. I loved it so much, that I went out that same week and bought every single one of her books.
The story of Alex and Jordan is a great story. I love how strong and brave Alex is, she has a great sense of humor, and she tries to make the best out of each situation. I love that she wears mens breeches, and fences, and jousts! Ladies did not do that back then, but Alex did!
There were moments in the book where I felt so heartbroken, when Alex did, and so happy when Alex did. At the end, when Jordan is bearing his soul to Alex, I wanted to reach in the book and hug him and kiss him, and give him all my love!
JM did wonderful with this story. I'll not go into details of the story because so many others have.
Read this book, you will not be disappointed!!
and I still enjoyed the book

I consider Judith Mcnaught one of my favorite authors of all time, she's right up there with Mary Jo Putney, Gaelen Foley, Rhonda Woodard etcetera.
I read about Alex and Jordan in the other novels in the series and was too anxious to get my hands on their story.
I will admit, I expected something more wonderful than this. That is not to say I did not like the story.
As ususal, the Genre was accurate, as well as the dialect, passion and plot.
I just cannot put my finger on why I did not enjoy this story as much as the rest in the series. Maybe because I found a certain sense of nostalgia for intense emotions so familiar to me in every chapter of the other books.....Only when the Hero thought the Heroine had died and was pleading to her did I feel a heart wrenching emotion. On further thought, maybe it was the grave mathematical error on the age of our Heroine that made me less enthusiastic about the book.
In the beginning of the novel our Hero was 18 and the Heroine was 13, nine years later, our Hero's age was correctly depicted as 27, but our author seemed to have kept our Heroine in a 4 year time loop and made her 18.
I was a little dismayed at that very simple error
Needless to say, although I didn't enjoy this book as much as the others in the series, I'm fair in my assessment in comparing Ms Mcnaught to her own self.
Ms Mcnaught at her worse is still pedestal to other writers.
Great Book.
