Cast of Characters/Important People

Amanda Caulden: daughter of wealthy rancher and farmer of hops and other crops.and mother who sits in her room all day doing lord knows what as well as hiding to appease Amandas father. Fiance of a professor and tutor.
Taylor Driscoll: has tutored Amanda since was forteen and now is planning to marry her and inherit the ranch that is her fathers. seems a bit cold and doesnt seem to know about intimacy or warmness. has issues about his mother who was a loose carousing woman where his father was an educated man who was deeply in love with her. Taylor is one who has to be completely in control of every aspect of the woman he plans to spend his life with.
Mrs Gunton: A tyrannical maid/assistant to Taylor helps keep Amanda in line. is always reporting all her actions to Taylor and especially the "bad" or "unacceptable" behavior. She acts and is built like a 5 star General.
J. Harker: Amandas father and head and owner of the Caulden ranch. also doesnt trust women as his wife was found out about a career as a dancer she was. He's also hiding something from Hank about his treatment to the migratory workers.
Mrs Soames: Hanks cook, housekeeper etc., one of his rescues as he rescued her from an abusive husband. and gave her a job and a place to live. and she takes care of him like a mother.
Grace Caulden: Shamed wife of J. Harker. and mother of Amanda and secret author of Romance Novels. Is not allowed to see her daughter alone because of the over bearing Mr. Driscoll.
Dr. Henry Raine Montgomery aka Hank: is a college professor and also a worker for the governments ULW to try and report the treatment of the migrant workers.
Reva Eilers: old school mate of Amandas and is very interested in the handsome Hank. untill she meets up with the fiance of Amandas "Taylor". She has always been very jealous of Amanda and wants to hurt her thinking that Amanda has always had it easy.
Sam: another old school chum of Amandas who sees her at a dance that Hank makes her go to and she craves the attention that Sam is giving and he nearly rapes her but for the help of Hank.
Bulldog Ramsey: Sheriff of Kingman paidoff helper of ranch owners.
Whitey Graham: a violent man who believes that violence is the only way to change things for the migrant workers.
