“I felt like it was a one dimensional book. None of the characters were real people for me. So ....very different than Anne of Green Gables. Who couldn't love Anne with all her feelings and emotions running over. I probably would have felt different about it if I had read it as a young person. What was wrong with Valancy, why did she take all that crap from all those relatives. ”
