“Back with Joe Morelli, takes Tiki as bond. Really crazy ex-special forces op comes after Ranger, she plays bridesmaid to catch him, gets hair set on fire. Finds guys selling body parts burying bodies.”Andrea G. wrote this review Monday, November 4, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No

“Patients are disappearing from the hospital without a trace. The latest man missing is Geoffrey Cubbin. He also happens to be out of jail on a bond Vinnie wrote and if he doesn’t show up for trial Vinnie’s bail bonds agency could be out of business and Stephanie out of a job. Of course she could go work for Ranger. In fact she does assist him on a job that has something to do with Ranger’s past. Something no one really knows anything about so she just can’t turn him down. You know with Stephanie Plum nothing is ever what it seems and chaos seems to follow her wherever she goes. She may have met her match in the one and it seems to be an ugly pink bridesmaids dress!!!
These are my go-to books when I need a pick me up. In fact I have read books 16 – 19 this year as part of the Finish The Series Challenge and this was definitely the best of this bunch.
“It’s the Yeti!” Lula screamed. “Lord help me!”
The next thing I heard was zzzzzzt. And I was incapacitated, on my back on the carpet.
It took a couple of minutes for my brain to unscramble and start sending coherent messages to my nerve endings. My head cleared and I looked over at Lula. She was sprawled next to me, and she was twitching.
I got on my hands and knees, and then to my feet. “Hey.” I said to Lula. “Are you o.k.?”
“Yuh,” Lula said. “Did I wet myself? I hate when that happens.”
…”That scared the crap out of me. I thought you said she had a cat. Nobody said nothing about having a Yeti.”
So in addition to the usual crazy characters there is a “Yeti”. You still have the usual cars exploding, firebombs, Lula and her fried chicken and donuts, the Stephanie, Morelli, Ranger love triangle, plus Grandma Mazur goes under cover, a Tiki, a trip to a nudist beach, a wedding in jeopardy, and don’t forget the missing patients.
This book is packed to the gills with action and hilarity ensues!! My husband hears me laughing and he says “You’re Evanovich again aren’t you!”
Nineteen books plus the in-betweens and they are still fun and entertaining. Takedown Twenty hits stores November 19.”
“Very funny caper and a solid addition to the saga of Sephanie Plum.”wiley wrote this review Wednesday, October 9, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“People are disappearing from the hospital and not just any people but people Stephanie need to bring in to 'Reschedule' court dates.”Candy wrote this review Monday, September 30, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“This was okay. One of the better ones out of the past three or four but frankly, I'm getting tired of Stephanie wavering between Joe and Ranger.”Janice wrote this review Monday, September 30, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“What can I say? It's Stephanie Plum. How varied can we expect the plot to be for a bounty hunter? I did the audio version. It was entertaining and made the trip seem a bit shorter. I give it two stars. (For those unfamiliar with Janet Evanovich's work, Stephanie and her friends a a bit bawdy. This is definately adult reading.)”B James Wilson wrote this review Saturday, September 28, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
