Didn’t Like It Rated 2 stars “I read this book for and Old and Middle English Literature class. I'm sure being forced to read this book for a class had an impact on my liking it.   “An excellent first person account by a historian of the 12th century providing background information for the Arthurian tales. The edition that I have is a paperback published by Dutton.”

  “A very enjoyable, kinda true history of ancient Britain. Geoffrey counterbalances every fact with at least 2 legends. The seed of much of later British literature is in here, waiting to be planted. ”
