  • Boaz: Old Testament figure--shows kindness to Ruth who is taking care of her mother-in-law Naomi. Eventually kinsman-redeems Ruth and marries her.

  • Paul: New Testament figure--As Saul, he persecuted Christians. Then he had a conversion experience on the road to Damascus and eventually took the Gospel message to the Gentiles. His writings span from Romans to Philemon in the New Testament and include letters to various churches that he had helped to start.
  • Joseph: 1. In the Old Testament, Joseph was the youngest son who had a coat of many colors. He was sold into slavery by his jealous brothers. This act eventually saved his family since when Famine came and they traveled to Egypt to get food, Joseph was there to provide for them and offer grace to those who had tried to hurt him.2. In the New Testament, Joseph is the carpenter who was engaged to Mary when she became pregnant by the Holy Spirit. By rights he could have divorced her publicly or privately.
