“Scarlet knows she will die when she gets hit with the arrow pointed at Tristan and she will do it so he doesn't die. When she doesn't vanish like she usually does Tristan, Gabriel and Nate become worried. They also include Scarlet's friend Heather with the secret. When Gabriel and Scarlet break up Tristan leaves so Scarlet doesn't have the need to touch him. When he finds a shack in the woods he stays there the only problem is his connection to Scarlet is stronger than it was before. Scarlet goes looking for clues to why the connection is stronger and where the fountain of youth is. When they find Mr. Brooks, one of the Cities founding fathers, they find Scarlet's fathers journal of his journey to find the fountain of youth. One night Scarlet is in so much pain she had to go find Tristan and fell asleep on him. When Mr. Brooks asks them why they wanted to look at his maps and finds out about the curses. When Scarlet finds Heather in the town graveyard she finds Gabriel's ex-girlfriend, Raven is Heather's boss. Will they destroy Raven before she finds the fountain of youth?”Marissa wrote this review Sunday, August 18, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“This is the way to continue a series!! Awry is the second installment of The Archers of Avalon series. The story picks up immediately from were Anew left off pulling readers further into the depths of this story. Delivery of this novel varied from book one, and I found it to be a truly talented display of presentation. As the author builds the story through the alternating past and present pov's; it will seems as though the past continues building this powerful and tragic story, but all the while the present is falling apart as they run out of time and options. Scarlet and the two Archers continue their mouth watering romance triangle, but this story offered me a much more depressing view. As I watched the past unfold it is absolutely terrible that their lives played out so horrifically. Fate played all of these characters a very dirty hand, and it continues in a ceaseless rain that has no signs of stopping. This was page turner, and I believe it was even better than the first. The overall mood of this book is a majorly depressing one, and everything that we know of the story completely falls apart. With nothing left to salvage it is easy to see the end coming, but with the couple slight unexpected turn of events the entire series will spin out of continue. What remains in the couple available sentences following the conclusion left me hanging on the ledge of anticipation for the next book. The cards have been shuffled and redealt, and the future of this series is changing. Don't miss out catch up now, so that you can enjoy the ride of this thrilling series.

“Awry is an ABSOLUTELY ADDICTING SEQUEL! This book delves into Tristan and Scarlet's mysterious past. There is a lot of flashbacks and flash-forwarding but it's done in a tasteful way so not as to confuse you. As if Scarlet's love-hate triangle with the immortal Archer boys wasn't complicated enough it gets even more so. Awry is like a FASCINATINGLY TWISTED FAIRYTALE. Every time you think you get an answer more burning questions pop up. Bigger secrets. Bigger Revelations. This book will be glued to your hands because it's so ridiculously good!”Seirra wrote this review Thursday, December 6, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“This was just a crazy entertaining read. It was silly and fun and certainly not original, but I liked it anyway. But I do have one little complaint. It would've flourished if Scarlet and Tristan weren't constantly lusting after each other. It's pretty tiresome when they can't even be in the same room without their desire pulsing waves. I didn't get love from them (and they did apparently love each other); I got lust. Heavy, feckless doses of it that seemed to exist for the purpose of making things "hot". Goody. That's why I enjoyed the flashbacks where Tristan and Scarlet actually developed a friendship (though it too quickly became about hormones, unfortunately).
Anyway, rant. It was a good book. I'm looking forward to the third!”

“A great sequel to such a fun series! Awry kept me flipping through the pages at an amazing speed despite its length. I loved the flashbacks where I learned so much about Scarlet, Tristan, Gabriel and Raven, and the plot was incredibly intense. I can't wait until the next book!”Yoon-Ji H wrote this review Saturday, June 30, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
