Good book but some of the story plots were pretty but I suppose that's why it is fiction (smile).

The book that, I am reading is called, "So You Call Yourself a Man," by Carl Weber. This book is a fictional drama. It is mostly suitable to the teen and young adults. This book is about three men who face trials and tribulations of life. These three men are best friends with beautiful families. The story starts out by telling the reader how these men live their lives like ordinary loving men. JAmes is the happy-go-lucky guy who spends his time devoting hisself to his family. Sonny is the family man who protects and takes care of his family the best way he can. Brent is the stud-muffin that every woman wants to have, but they are saddened at the fact that he's engaged. As the book goes on it seems like these men are the luckiest men in the world, until reality sets in. James finds hisself trapped between hia family and his long lost mistress's surprising announcement. Sonny finds himself trying to find a new family when his wife leaves him. Brent gets a surprising realization that he might not love the woman he marries. How will the reality of thest three men's lives be unveiled? What will happen to their families? Reasd, "So You Call Yourself a Man," to find out!

was skeptical as this is the sort of book i usually shy away from. although i thought the writing style was simple, i was pleasantly surprised at how riveting the story line was. there were so many twists and turns! this is a book in a series, so i may look into reading the others...turned me into a believer!

Three best friends go through a lot in there life like drama betrayal and lies. James has been keeping a secret from his wife that may ruin their marriage. Sony also has a secret that comes out once he finds a job and try to move their family in New York. Brent has been keeping a very shocking secret from his wife and friends for awhile and believe me it is kind of shocking. But it will soon be revealed to everyone he knows including his church members. I would have never thought men could go through as much drama as women go through today. Only true friends go through as much tribulations as these friends have done in this book. James is a UPS man that has a affair with some women that he meets on his route of delivery encounters a young lady you isn't all that important to him. His affair that he has with the woman comes back to haunt him in she calls one night demanding child support and claims that he has a child from her. James becomes scared at the fact she is know threatening him that she will tell his wife that he has a child from her if he doesn't man up and take responsibility for his child. Sony try to get a job in New York by working at the UPS place with his friend James. So he is basically trying to find a home down there to and while he is taking care of that business for his family that he loves so very much he gets a box with a letter in it from his wife. She explains to him that she no longer want to be in a relationship with him and that she is moving on and taking their kids with her. She wanted to get away from Sony only because he was abusive to her. Brent is a very good looking guy that all the women want but he tells them that he already is taken he is very loving and caring to his wife that he really wants to commit to but he has a secret that he wants to come out and tell only thing is that he don't want to hurt her. He soon gets her pregnant and they have a little child on the way but he don't think hes ready for that even though he loves her a lot. He had never thought that his wife would be walking in on his secret but it happened. It was the worst thing that could happen to anyone. In this book i will definitely say that there was a lot of unexpected things that were happening that i never though would. There was a lot of drama going on and a lot of betrayal in this book in I would suggest anyone who loves books like this should read it because it was a really good and interesting book to read. I really enjoyed this book and i read it less than two weeks.

The book, So You Call Yourself a Man. This book deals with real life drama that almost anybody can relate to. If you have a crazy baby mama or a cheating husband or maybe you just like a good shocking laugh then this is the book for you. This book is about three male best friends, Brent, James and Sonny, who think their love lives are wonderful until happiness starts going wrong and secrets start turning tables.

Brent, everything is wonderful, he thinks he and his newlywed wife, Alison, are just the perfect match. They are both involved with their church and have devoted their lives to god. And just when they decide to start a family together, Brent’s lies and secret double life start to take control. Is he willing to give up his double life and secret lover, Jackie, for the sake of his loving wife Alison or will his lies continue to corrupt his marriage and his life?

James, a UPS deliverer who has a wonderful wife, Cathy, and two amazing sons. Until he and his wife start to have marriage problems and his business becomes pleasure. While on a run one day he meets this beautiful woman, Michelle, who seems to make all his marriage problems disappear. Three years later just when he thinks his marriage is on the road to recovery, a hidden secret comes back to haunt him. Will Michelle destroy his marriage with their little secret or can James stick it out for the love of his family?

Sonny, All of Sonny’s friends thought that his loving wife, Jessica, was a mean, rude woman who never let him have any time with his friends until he loses his job. Living in Seattle, The two then decided that it would be best if he would go back to New York to find a job to support his family and that she would stay home and take care of all the packing. Sonny thought everything was going great, he got a job working a UPS with James and he even bought a new home. He thought that he and his family were going to be happy in their new home until he comes home to Seattle to find his wife and children gone. Where are they? And what made Jessica just up and leave like that? Is Sonny really a good man? Or does he keep secrets from his friends and family about his and Jessica’s marriage?

This book is an enjoyable pleasure that will have you at the edge of your seat. The lies, secrets, and double lives are just mind blowing and will have you wanting more. It has surprising cliffhangers that just makes you want to turn the next page to read the next chapter. I think that this book was one of the most dramatic urban books that young people can learn from.
The Author of this book is Carl Weber. He is an urban book writer and is the founder and publisher of Urban Books and in 2005, he was named Blackboard’s Publisher of the Year. Weber graduated from Virginia State University and holds an MBA in marketing from the University of Virginia. I think the message the author was trying to give is to choose your lovers wisely, you never know what secrets they hide or what double life they lead.
Other books that Carl Weber has written include Lookin’ for Luv, Married Men, Baby Momma Drama, A Dollar and a Dream, Player Haters, The Preacher’s Son, She Ain’t the One, The First Lady, and Something on the Side. Up to No Good is his most recent book and it was published on February 1, 2009.
