I was against reading this one because I didn't think it would be an interesting story line. BOY was I wrong! I wish I had read this right after 'The Other Boleyn Girl'. It really explained a lot. Katherine of Aragon was just as scheming as everyone else!

This is my 2nd Philippa Gregory book, I read The Other Boleyn Girl first. I was looking forward to the story of Katherine of Aragon. My knowledge of the history during her reign is zero, but reading this book has inspired me to want to find out more about her parents and the historical facts during her reign.

I knew nothing about Katherine of Aragon the daughter of Ferdinand and Isabella of Spain, so I was excited the story began when she was ground. Her parents were constantly on...

I really like this book. My aunt got it on CD because she drives around the state alot for business and she would play it everytime she got in the car, including a 8 hour trip I went on with her so needless to say it got me interested when I heard some. Have any authors tapped into stories in history like Anastasia the Russian Dutchess? Or any other stories that are historic?

Interesting insight into the beginning court of King Henery VIII. The book moves slowly and is not as good as The Other Boleyn Girl ,The Boleyn Inheritance, and The Queen's Fool . Interesting information about the Moors and Alhambra.

i have only read a part of this book as they were from the libary and i had about 5 others same author to get throu. But I do reccomend others in this series by this author of the time of Henry 8th, Queen Elizabeth 1st. I loved all the books in that period. she tells history in fiction in a beliveable way and puts in various clothing, attitudes, food of the time period. i am English and so i may know more than those from other countries reading them but i found the books informative and belivable as stories of those time. this author has written of later times as well but i am only raelly interested in the above monachs so they fitted in very well for me as it is not normally a genre I would touch. Try them out and you will be amazed at the machinations of the day, not a lot of difference from now in the intensity and the 'selling ' of ones relatives to gain power and money. Evelyn
