Inklings: A Tolkien and Lewis Group 64 books / 225 members / 127 posts C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Charles Williams were three members of this group. They took some information from G.K. Chesterton (read more about them at NarniaFans.com (http://www.narniafans.com/cslewis/inklings.php). They met weekly at a pub called The Eagle and Child. This group is primarily for fans of Lewis and Tolkien.

Its members, mostly academics at the University of Oxford, England, included J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Owen Barfield, Charles Williams, Adam Fox, Hugo Dyson, Robert Havard, Nevill Coghill, Charles Leslie Wrenn, Roger Lancelyn Green, Colin Hardie, James Dundas-Grant, John Wain, R.B. McCallum, Gervase Mathew, C.E. Stevens, J.A.W. Bennett, Lord David Cecil, Christopher Tolkien (J.R.R. Tolkien's son), Warren "Warnie" Lewis (C.S. Lewis's elder brother), and Eric Rucker Eddison on invitation by C.S. Lewis. It met between the 1930s and the 1960s.

Christian Fantasy Fiction 72 books / 73 members / 81 posts Spreading the word about good quality Christian fiction that is fantasy based and has a Biblical message. Our group includes titles for youth, teens and adults. Authors welcome to join and promote their books.

Dear Besotted Reader of British Literature,

Allow me to introduce you to our little circle, an oasis for those of you out there who suspect you’ve been born in the wrong country. You pale, lost souls who wish you could pepper your prose with spellings like “civilised” and “sense of humour” without eliciting raised eyebrows. You who stare at the clock wistfully at 3 pm and bemoan the fact that no steaming pot of tea and scrummy comestibles are nigh. You know who you are. You find yourself spending inordinate amounts of time reading Brontë, Austen, Dickens, Eliot, Woolf, Waugh, Mitford, Wodehouse and basically any other writer with a British accent. You curse fate because you weren’t a member of the Bloomsbury group. To your chagrin, you’ve never found a body in your library. You long to find others of your ilk, soul-mates with whom you can prattle on about British literature, poetry, cinema and telly without receiving blank stares in return. My dears, you are not alone.

Fantasy and Sci-fi Fanatics 1090 books / 1264 members / 1340 posts I am personally addicted to fantasy and sci-fi and I created this group for people to discuss Fantasy and Sci-fi books that they have read.

I have found myself, more often than not, searching for a really good fantasy or sci-fi book, but to no avail. Starting a group not only enables me, and you, to find great books, but it also is a great way to discuss likes and dislikes about these books.

Just a warning, I will also put realistic-fiction books on the group shelf if I feel that they are as good as a fantasy or sci-fi book. MEOW!!!!!
