Very good - kept my attention. Many different story lines that wove together kept me reading and not wanting to put it down.

I am only about 120 pages into this book but so far it is great! The books that take place in the Medieval times make for a great story. The way that Feist uses the time period to work in his advantage to make a book about magical forces and people is great! i cannot wait to read more of this book. I think this book will be good all the way through until the end. The way that the reader gets lost in a fantasy world of magic just makes it that much more enjoyable.

I have read up to page 213, and so far it is one of the best book I have read. After my friend Martin recommended it to me, I began to read. I really like the imagery that is going on in the book. The author makes it seem like I am actually like a 3rd person in the book. There is the Main character, and then there is me. I feel like I’m sitting there following him around and like I am living in the era, and have to same kinds of powers and whatnot as the people in the story. Highly recommend this book to everyone!

As for the cover of this book relating to the rook, it kind of seems darker than the book is. Having it be all black too me could be pushing it a little bit. Although the book is kind of dark and about magic, its just too deep. As im reading the book im using an electronic version, so i didn't even see the cover until i had read some, and put my first comment about this book on Shelfari. But after seeing it, in my opinion it goes along with the theme of the book, but not to the degree that i would have expected based on what i read.

The final revire for this book.... It was great and probably one of my favorite books that i have read. The dark magic and the imagery that i get while reading takes me to a harry potter kind of place, in the last movies where it had gotten darker from when it started. Almost like this book, it didn't really start out dark but it progressively got darker. Another thing that i really enjoyed about the book is that there were elves and dwarfs. To me mythology or mythological type being make a book more interesting. It kind of brought back the whole lord of the rings lover that i am.(movies) and the multiple demensions demonstrated in book throws in a whole different kind of twist having it be slightly more complicated that if it were just in one world. To summ it up, great book, I loved it.
