What a great book. We can learn so much from Dawson, not just how life was, but how to live. Cudos to Richard Glaubman, he was faithful to George's narrative - even when he was part of a joke. Highly recommend this book

One of my absolute favorite books. This is a story of an ordinary man who wanted to make it in the world. So he did. He got to see a lot of this world, but didn't know how to read, and in one of his travelling moments, realized how he was treated when the person who did his ticket marked it opposite as to what he told the man. You'll love this story.
