Let me start this by saying that Delia's father is an absolute asshole. Let me start this by saying that Delia's father is an absolute asshole. Over the many years I've been a booklover, I've encountered characters whom I qualified as such but in the end, at some point or another, they did have some redeeming quality, something, a scene in which you'd see a light in all that darkness but not Randy Gentry. That guy was evil thru and thru and I don't give a shit that he was brought up by a bigger asshole, it just makes things worse that he turned up fifty shades worse than his father.

Anyway, with that off the table, I can now rave about how this was purely delightful and so fucking great! I love the way it was written and I don't mean the two povs, but the fact that we have a couple who is broken, totally shattered and we see them get back together, find themselves again in the mess they created because they were scared, because they forgot how much they loved each other and how that kind of love, of attachement is rare in this world. I loved both Tobin and Delia, they were so raw, so real in every aspect of their emotions it was heartbreaking to read the bad and heartwarming to read the good. A beautiful true love story thru and thru and it was a pleasure to read about them. And of course, Eamon who somehow still stands up as a major character in this book despite everything.

Overall decent book. Ending wasn't what I expected. I wanted more than what was offered in the end.
