- Finn the Cat: The bored Banprionnsa at Castle Rurach. She is approached by a band of jongleurs on behalf of the Righ. Lachlan requires Finn's searching abilities in order to find and bring back something incredibly important...
- Dide: A jongleur and one of the knights of the Righ. He aids Finn and the other jongleurs into the Forbidden Land.
- Jay the Fiddler: Keeper of a very sacred viola which Enit has taught him to play. Old friend of Finn's.
- Enit: Grandmother of Dide. An old jongleur who has the ability to sing Fairgeans to their death.
