Very touching story! A good teacher is always remembered, but the best teacher is always cherished. To all those teachers out there and every student who were inspired by a teacher..you must read this!

Once you read this little gem of a book, you will never look at life or death in the same way again. Most of us are caught up in the rat race and in the pursuit of fame and accumulating wealth that we seldom pause to think why we are on this earth. What is the purpose of life? Where do we go after we die?

These are important questions that are discussed in the book between a brave and wise professor and his old student. I use the word "brave" because he is dying of a rare disease, and yet he exhibits so much dignity, courage, humor and warmth that one cannot help but be deeply moved by it. I am not ashamed but I cried while reading this book.

A dialogue between two men at a critical phase in their lives. It juxtaposes the physical wasting of one against the wasteful squandering of life of the other. It highlight the need to stand aside and watch life to introspect and make the right choices to infuse meaningfulness in our relationships.
