“I wouldn't have chosen to read this book, but it was donated to my classroom. I tried to use it along side the grandparent project that I was doing, where students interview and write a story about a grandparent person in their lives. There are quite a few allusions, and some tie ins to history and geography. Not a real page turner though. I will probably use it in lit circles in the future.”
