“Summary: This story is told from the point of view of a little girl living during World War Two and the Holocaust. Her family is Jewish and she is left with another family when the Germans raid their place looking for them. The story talks about the risks that the little girl faces when trying to survive and not get caught by the Germans. Reason Chosen: I chose this story because it is such a great story. I absolutely love the stories about World War II and the people they are written about. I think these stories have such great stories behind them because they are so important to the world’s history. I also chose it because the author did a great job of portraying the struggles of the family throughout the story. Use in Classroom: I think I would use this book in a few different ways. I think this book could be used as a read aloud as long if you were sure that your class was mature enough to handle it. I also believe this can be a really good book for group reading. When working together with other students everyone could learn a lot from this book. ”
