Didn’t Like It“Brandman's continuation of Parker's Jesse Stone series pushes all the correct buttons in brisk sequence, and delivers an acceptable product -- but it seems like a cynically commercial exercise that barely deviates from Parker's model, and consequently adds nothing of interest.” see full review » see other reviews » |
“This book was a little bit different in that the murders did not happen until very late. This one was more about political corruption and helping a teenager who was in need of it. Being that the murder happened late, the action and momentum really took off in the later half of the book. As always, the best things about these novels are the writing and the characters. There was quite a varied group in this one which kept things interesting. ”

So though there are some fun little moments in this bit of fluffy mind candy I sure am happy I got the book from the library rather than buy it. ”

The star is being stalked by her estranged husband. Stone's also tracking done some strange goings on at the water company, and trying to figure out a delinquent teenager. As all Parker books are, this one has a lot of wit and heart. I won't remember this particular book five years from now, but I'll remember I enjoyed it will always happily pick up any Parker book. He is unfailingly entertaining.”
