- Vicky Vanitee: The main character of the book. She divorces Marc over a lipstick he wouldn’t fetch on the plane after she dropped it. Later on, she meets Daniel Chou, an Asian mega-celebrity, and in a twist of fate, begins dating him.
- Daniel Chou: An Asian mega-celebrity, he is in Malaysia for the filming of one of his movies. He has a sister named Doki, who is also a pop star.
- Marc Lindeberg: Vicky's ex-husband, whom she divorced after he refused to pick up her lipstick for her just as their plane was taking off. He is also the heir to the Lindeberg chain of hotels worldwide.
- Doki: Daniel Chou's sister, she is also a pop star. She meets Vicky at her hotel.
- Kimmy: One of Vicky's friends, she is a socialite simply described as an airhead.
- Yvonne: Also another one of Vicky's friends, she is, like Yvonne, not quite intelligent.
- Deedee: An Asian celebrity, she is disliked by Vicky out of jealousy.
- Joshua: At the young age of 25, he is one of the fashion editors of Vogue Malaysia.
