This was a cheesy love story. Just not my cuppa tea. I really hope Pilcher's other works aren't like this.

absolutly loved this book.... The way Rosamunde described the secluded beach near to the cottage made me want to get on a train and go there myself..
A story of a lady who had 2 children but also inherited a Nanny so mum didn't have a lot to do so got bored.. the story unravels and is marvellous

This one strains credulity for me, that you can meet someone for a few hours and fall so madly in love that you carry a torch for 10 years. I might be a romantic but not that much of one. Toss in a few twists of mis-directed letter and unpleasant mother-in-laws and you've got the whole story.
