My first Murdoch novel and I love it. Iris Murdoch is a genius with words--she's never blatant or pretentious with her choice of words and she conveys every message perfectly. I guess I love the writing more than the story. Just saying that it's very well-written is an understatement, I don't think anyone is quite like Murdoch. The story is beautiful and I think the title is genius. Murdoch's characters are exquisite, very original and never one-sided. It's the only book I've read where every...
