First Sentence edit
John opened his eyes and looked out of the window. His head was groggy so he remained still and blinked his eyes. He let the sunlight slowly bring him back into the real world. On the windowsill was a pair of pliers that looked so old and rusted that he wouldn’t be surprised if his granddad had used them during the war.
