“THE TEACHER’S BILLIONIRE was a perfect soothing read. Although it’s pretty predictable, it’s suitable for a quick read with a quick and honest love.
Callie Taylor learns after her mother’s death that she wasn’t quite truthful about the father she claimed died in a car accident. Turns out, her father is Presidential candidate Warren Sherbrooke.
Although Warren seems to take the news well, his current wife and daughter (Callie’s half sister) and campaign advisor Marty are not. Dylan Talbot has high respect for his step-father and offers to meet Callie beforehand to set up a meeting. It also gives him the chance to check her out before she has the chance to hurt Warren.
Yet, pretty much all his doubts go out the window when he meets the pretty, small town teacher. She’s nothing like any other women he’s been around and he keeps finding excuses to be around her.
Still believing Callie is just waiting for the perfect time to go to the media, Marty is set on putting someone on Callie to watch her. Not wanting that, Dylan offers to keep an eye on her.
As they spend more time together it gets harder for the both to wave off their feelings. And although the book lacked detailed scenes when it came to them in the bedroom, I was silently rooting for them.
However, it nearly all comes apart when Callie overhears Marty with Dylan talking about his keeping an eye on her. Leaving hurt, it’s up to Dylan to get back the woman he realizes he loves.
For a free kindle read, I really couldn’t have asked for more. Reading over a couple of nights, this book gave me a lighthearted romance between two different people. The wedding at the end was another bonus that really gives that finishing touch.
