  • Dor "Father Time": He is Father Time, married to Alli. Always had an interest in the concept of 'time'. Paid big price because of his counting, is as ordinary as another man, but his interest in time made him special to God.The main protagonist who learned his lesson after 6000 years.
  • Sarah Lemon: She is an awkward, chubby high school senior, is picked on, imperfect and like so many of us....just wants to be loved.
  • Victor Delemonte: He is married to Grace, the 14th richest man in the world, got diseased and wanted to avoid death at all costs.
  • Alli: She is Dor's wife. Dor’s every action and thought revolves around his wife and finding a way to return to her. Their love seems boundless and real.
  • Grace Delemonte: She is married to Victor.
  • Ethan: The young man Sarah falls for. He once tried to seduce her but has since shown no interest. She texts him obsessively, travels to New York to buy him an expensive watch and asks him to meet her on Christmas Eve to present her gift. When Ethan rejects Sarah’s advances, she tries to kill herself.
  • Nim: He is the older brother of Dor who becomes a king and builds the Tower of Babel.
  • Tom Lemon: He is Sarah's father. After her parents divorce, Tom remarries and moves to Ohio with his new family.
  • Lorraine Lemon: She is Sarah's mother. She does not know or understand what her daughter is going through. She is not close with her daughter.
  • Old Man: He is the servant of the Gods who places Dor in the cave for trying to have power over time. He keeps Dor in the cave for six thousand years but frees him to find two people to help understand the value of time.
  • Jed: He is the head of the cryonics facility where Victor plans his future.
  • Roger: Victor's loyal assistant who knows of Victor's plans. Victor trusts him to help in the end to carry out Victor's plans
  • Uncle Mark: He is Lorraine's brother from North Carolina who is there for Lorraine when she needs him.
