This one continues the story with the daughter of the main characters from before. I think my enjoyment is dampened because I didn't like the daughter as much as I liked her mom in the first one. There are other characters that I enjoyed and the daughter does grow, but it wasn't quite and enjoyable for me.”

“I read this book just once, a few years back and I enjoyed it. Granted, it's fantasy, but the concept is still unique.”

I have read The Seer and the Sword first, the story was so beautiful and perfectly written that I really just have to read the second book. It took me a year to find this book, which was worth all the trouble. It surprised me that the plot was brand new, since almost all sequels that I have read are just basically the same as the first one. The new characters were wonderful, especially Saravelda. I loved her courage and strong will. This is a very wonderful book. Superb. ”
