“Having read and enjoyed Dark Angels, Koen’s prequel to Through A Glass Darkly, I looked forward to reading this book. However, I wasn’t able to garner more than a mild interest in any of the principal characters, and the storyline did little to capture my imagination. Further, the Alice (Duchess of Tamworth) portrayed in this novel seems so vastly different than the younger Alice presented in Dark Angels that I couldn't reconcile the two.”
