This graphic novel traces one man's search for a lost love which leads to his involvement in a bizarre conspiracy. He must unmask the motivations of a secret society whose members include police. A stark and thought-inducing postmodernism radiates from this tale and it's surreal plot.

English 494: Modern American Fiction - A graphic novel. Looks like a comic-book but takes the same critical skills used with Faulkner or Vonnegut to read and understand it. An overall good story, but one that is slightly confusing and leaves some holes due to this.

Surreal, freaky, the best of what Clowes has to offer.
