Another good medical thriller by Robin Cook. Even though it was published in 2005, the main topic of genetic markers for cancer, heart disease, etc is still current. A managed health care company is using the genetic markers to identify patients who will inevitably need major medical care, and thus be a drain on the company's resources. It is good suspenseful reading!

A nice book - i found it much better than a whole lot of other books he's written. In fact, once you get past the initial pages, you wouldn't want to put this book down!

As a 43 year old physician with BRCA mutation, I was very interested in this aspect of the story. While Cook brought up some interesting points about impact of BRCA mutations, and it is good to see this in the popular media. If interested in BRCA mutations, definitely check out other sources.
