I thought I wasn't gonna like the story on this one but surprisingly I did. There were a lot of interesting developments, new characters, and the mystery why Sookie attracts vampires, supes, shifters and the like was solved. Charlaine Harris really put a twist to it and explained the reason for...

This one was amazing, as I am sure you guessed I would say with my reviews of the other books in this series. I was seriously knocked for a loop with the new revelation of Bill's betrayal. I actually sat in my chair while on a vacation reading this book saying to myself, "No....don't do it....no....NO, NO, NO!!!!! CRAP! She did it!" In fact, I was so amazed at the tenacity of the author to take such a turn in the storyline that I almost wanted to bow down to her!

    BRAVO!!!!!!!!!

This one was aright, but not really as good as the others in the series. There were a few parts that sort of dragged on for me, and also, Sookie doesn't seem to be the same as she was in other books. She was always a little more cheerful in other books, but in this one she didn't seem to be herself.

19-Dec: I begin yestreday and I'm on chapter 6, and that says something. I am so glad that Sookie removed Alced and Calvin from her mind. the weres community in Ms. Charlaine Harris world seems a bit twisted to me. the Vamps seems much normal in that way. I am dying to see the 3rd season of True Blood!

Mmm, Quinn. I was pretty annoyed and frustrated by the Hadley storyline at first, then I looked online and saw that there was a short story or something in a collection between the two Sookie books. There really should have been some warning on the book about that, instead I ended up feeling lost as far as Hadley was concerned. It's really interesting learning more about the Vampire Royalty though.

Barmaid Sookie Stackhouse has her work cut out for her. Hanging around with supernatural creatures is the last thing she wants to do, but she can't ignore the calls of Louisiana Vampire queen, as well as pack up whatever she's inherited from her dead vampire cousin, Hadley. Little does she know that the trip would entangle her in a recent political tension between vampires that might be lethal to all supes- and herself.

Even though the charm with this series is wearing off a little, but I like how Sookie shines when she's outside her mundane life in Bon Temps. Also, there are more tidbits revealed in this book seems promising in the future books. I've already settled that this series is a guilty pleasure, and I love some of the characters, and some developments in it. I just hope it is not too drawn out.

I've liked these books since I started reading them, but I didn't realize how invested I was in the characters! Sookie gets pretty upset in this one and I was upset right along with her. It's fun to have a series that I can get so involved in!

Parts of this book were great, lots of great information and action, but I found myself annoyed with certain revelations as well. Sookie jumping from romance candidate to romance candidate really has me bored. Not my favorite at all. Definitely does not have the sizzle of book 4, but it is still a nice addition to the series.
