“Squish was a little rabbit but being little led him to fears. He was afraid of the dark and it seemed to follow him everywhere. One day Squish had to conquer his fear of the dark and he felt much braver after that.
This book teaches students that they can overcome their fears and be brave. The illustrator uses a collage of ink, watercolor, textiles and digital manipulations. These mediums help allow the pictures to pop off the page and come to life. Squish is portrayed with a black outline of the rabbit with white inside to make squish (the main character) stand out from the rest of the pictures on the page.”
“Another good picture book for children who are afraid of the dark or who are apprehensive about going off on their own. I love how Squish works up his courage to conquer his fears! Liked the artwork as well :)”NeptuneTide wrote this review Wednesday, February 27, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
