“It takes to getting used too, David Grossmans 'breathless' style. Its like someone is getting through a door and telling the story, without breathing. But the stories told are very thought provoking and compelling. Like the one from 9 year old Mamik, who is trying to understand the world around him. He lives surrounded from aging people, who for him dont make sense. They talk in codes and passowords. On their arms are secret codes as he thinks. People are sick and still try to get on with life.
Another story is about someone who thinks, that their is going to be another Holodaust and is getting ready for it.
Since David Grossman lives in Israel, Jerusalem all stories play in it. A book begging to be read !”
