“Cate Madigan is 26 and loves her life. She's putting herself through school by tending bar at night and subletting an apartment from an eccentric Judy Garland wannabe singer. But her family thinks she needs to be married. So they fix her up with a tire salesman named Patrick Pug. Pug, as he calls himself, is like a bad rash that won't go away. He keeps showing up over and over again no matter how many times Cate tells him she's not interested. So Cate does the next best thing- she tells him she already has a boyfriend- and choses Kellen McBride, a patron at the bar- as her guinea pig.

Turns out he's been staking out the bar to find Marty Longfellow, Cate's roommate who has suddenly disappeared with thousands of dollars worth of stolen jewelry. But his interests in Cate soon increases as he realizes that she's involved in his case more than she knows.”

“Fun read, don't be discouraged by the dog covers for a romance novel. This isn't a typical romance. It has a bit of action, a funny stalker and luckily a mysterious man to escort our heroine. ”

“This book had NO depth! The story was cute and some of the lines are funny but it was dry. Now if Carly Phillips or Jennifer Crusie had written it, it would have been great! But IDK if I'll read anymore books by Evanovivh. -_-”

“Ridiculous, sexy, fun, fluffy read. Which you need from time to time. For readers who like a contemporary romance (girl from traditional Irish-American family in the Big City of Boston) with lots of fllirting and innuendo, a mild mystery, some wacky characters. Pretty fun to listen to on audiobook, narrated by Lorelei King who does all the voices. ”
