I liked this book a lot when i read it. In this book the only barriers protecting camp half blood are depleting and the only way to protect and restore them is for the main characters Percy Jackson, Annabeth, and grover to go to the place in the world they know as the sea of monsters. We know this place as the Bermuda Triangle. And when they get there they must find and retrieve the golden fleece and destroy the monsters guarding it.

I really liked this book because not only is it a cool adventure but you have to think of whats going to happen next and how they will solve the puzzles and problems that will happen.

I really liked this book and cant wait until this movie comes out this summer so i can see how it is and compare it to the book.

Percy Jackson, Tyson, and Annabeth must go to the sea of monsters to save Grover and get the golden fleece to get the poison out of Thalia's pine tree. The fleece does it's job too well and changes the pine tree back to it's old self, Thalia, Zeus's daughter.

    The Sea of Monsters

The book the Sea of Monsters, written by Rick Riordan was suspenseful because it was
strong in the areas of content. The most impressive aspect of the content was that the whole
Book was adventurous and mysterious. The story was mysterious because all of the monsters
In this story are strange and abnormal. The main plot of the story was that Percy’s friend
Was in danger because his friend Grover is held captive by a Cyclops and the Cyclops name is
Polythemus. When I read that the satyr Grover was held captive because Polythemus thinks
that Grover is his bride and has a goat smelled perfume. “Honey are you a goat? No dear it is
my goat scent perfume.” I thought it was pretty funny that Polythemus thought Grover was
a lady Cyclops, but he couldn’t see in his only eye because when Odysseus and his men put a
spear in the Cyclops’s eye it made him blind for a long time. Therefore, Rick Riordan has written
a book that has solid content.
Like the content, the style of the book was adventurous. The style of the book was adventurous because when Percy went on this journey to save his projector. If Percy’s protector dies that means Percy will die also. In the book, Percy had to go through Circe the sorcerous and the Sirens. Circe is known for turning all of the men into pigs. The Sirens are these monsters that lure you in and kill you. When I was reading I was really surprised that the author put all of those monsters in this book. The book was adventurous because Percy’s and his friends go on this long journey to the Bermuda triangle. They put the Cyclops Island in that certain location because no one would want to go there and take the Cyclops treasure. Mentioned above I was really impressed with the style of the book.
The form of the book was clear and I found it effective. One main reason that made this form work was because it made sense all through the way from the beginning to the end of the book. These reasons made the form of the book work for me. It was excellent because the author Rick Riordan made me feel like I was watching the movie already. As a result I give this book a five star recommendation because the content, style, and form are impressive.

Someone has poisoned Thalia's tree, the tree that protects Camp Half-Blood. Percy travels with Annabeth and his brother Tyson to find the Golden Fleece as well as rescue their friend Grover from the Sea of Monsters. This is the second book in a great series. Kids will want to go on to the next book after finishing one. It's packed full of adventure and excitement!

This is the second book in the Olympus series and Percy Jackson and his two best friends are back to find Luke and why he has become a traitor. Clarisse, a girl that Percy doesn't get along with, receives a mission and leaves Camp Half-Blood to finish it. However, Percy just knows that she will get herself into trouble, so he, and his best friend, Annabeth, accompanied by a baby cyclops follow her. Eventually they reach the Sea of Monsters and stumble upon the Cyclops cave, ultimately saving Grover, the satyr from marrying Polyphemus and gathering the Golden Fleece to save Thalia's tree.
As with the first book, it would be great to compare to other Greek stories of the gods with this one, as well as do a small geography lesson on the Bermuda Triangle, which is mentioned in the book.
