This book was well written and the descriptions of modern day Venice and the Baroque period were very finely crafted. I however felt that the plot itself was a bit of a let down, especially the end. There was such a build up as far as the historical intrigue, but when it came down to it the ending felt flat. Also, the entire plot of the book did not seem to fit, to me, with the main characters purpose. Finally, it felt as if it ended suddenly, as if the author just ran out of ideas and...
