I enjoyed the clear, unpretentious prose, the apt characterization of people through visual description, dialog, and simple activities in day to day living. The stories render a subtle take on lonely Bengali Indians immigated to the Boston area or living in Calcutta. But this is no existential exploration of meaning or elucidation of how families work.
